剧情简介
Professor John Guy travels to Maintz, to discover how books were made before and after the invention of printing. He recounts how the printed word led to an explosion of information in Renaissance Europe and examines the role played by Johannes Gutenberg, who is credited as the inventor of movable type. Looks at new computer-aided research at the Smithsonian in Washington, which throws up some surprising anomalies in the printed text of Gutenberg’s bible.
