Delve deep into the rich and often brutal bloodlines of gangs across America, from New York City to Chicago, Houston to Nashville, as SEASON FIVE of GANGLAND paints a violently accurate and compelling portrait of gang life in America. Exclusive interviews, rarely seen footage, and unique access to the lives of gangsters provide solid insight into why gangs exist, how they operate, their increasingly destructive methods, and the alarming rate at which they’re spreading to suburban and rural areas.

In this episode, viewers are given a firsthand look at the Crips Gang based in Anchorage.

This episode explores the history and new role of the Ku Klux Klan. Hosted by Kevin Michael Hoffman, this show juxtaposes members’ speeches and clips with the views of historians and cultural experts. Starting with their roots in Kentucky, the show depicts the worldwide spread of this group and its offshoots.

Machete Slaughter profiles the history of the Trinitarios, meaning the Trinity Brotherhood in English. Formed in the state prison system of New York as a merger of three Hispanic street gangs with members predominately from the Dominican Republic, the Trinitarios have spread their violence across the Eastern United States. The machete is the weapon of choice for the Trinitarios.

Blood River is an episode of the History Channel’s Gangland, a show that takes viewers into the world of some of the deadliest gangs of the modern era. This episode features the Barrio Azteca, a Mexican prison gang that was formed in 1986. The episode details how the gang has become the largest in the El Paso region and its subsequent infiltration into the Mexican prison system. It also discusses how local law enforcement, including the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, has tried to curb the gang’s activity.

In the Hustle or Die episode of Gangland, the show heads to Chica, Illinois to explore the impact of one of the city’s most lethal gangs, the Four Corner Hustlers. One of the five gangs that control the illicit drug trade in the city, the Four Corner Hustlers prey on the young to fill their ranks, sending many of its members to either an early grave or into prison.

Gangland takes a look at Top Six, a Miami-area gang that began as a rap group.

The Death Head covers one of the most notorious and recognized motorcycle gangs in history: The Hell’s Angels. Their lo, known as the death head, has brought fear to count small town citizens as the bikes have rolled into town. In search of control over the drug flow in the United States, the Hell’s Angels have been held responsible for a laundry list of crimes.

A gritty, true-life drama detailing the ideology, exploits and history of the Aryan Circle. This controversal white supremacist gang is spread across the country in various prisons and was formed to protect white inmates. The Aryan Circle encourages separatist ideals in order to protect the white race and their heritage.

Dog Fights outlines the saga of Fresno’s F-14 Bulldogs, unique for being a large but independent gang. The primarily Hispanic gang participates in drug trafficking, murder, theft, and illegal firearms. Incidents portrayed include the 2006 shooting of motorcycle patrol officer Brian Nieto, the execution of female witnesses to a rape, and the resulting crackdown by the Fresno Police Department.

“Evil Breed” is an episode of the History Channel show “Gangland” that follows the criminal activities of the Breed Motorcycle Club. The episode follows the gang’s beginnings in 1965 to its most recent run-ins with the law in 2006. With interviews from New Jersey law enforcement and former members, this episode provides an in-depth look at one of the most notorious gangs in the northeastern United States.

Hunt and Kill follows the Brown Pride Gang, a gang that largely consists of Hispanics on the east coast, particularly in Tennessee. The show depicts what happens when someone gets on a gang’s wanted list. Not long after this episode was filmed, the leader of the Brown Pride Gang was arrested for allegedly ordering a shooting.

In this episode originally airing in 2009, the Tan Blast Gang, an enormous, aggressive gang based in Houston is profiled both on the streets and in prison. Profiles of members from the 14,000 strong organization such as “Spider” and “Bones” are highlighted as well as perspectives from law enforcement on the gang’s influence.
